Payday Protector

Boston Mutual is pleased to introduce a new program - "PayDay Protector." This package was designed to afford Employers across the nation the opportunity to provide a simple cost effective benefit package of Life and Disability Insurance for their valued Employees. We offer two Employer PayDay Protector options packaged with an Employee Choice option to purchase additional coverage.

PayDay Protector
- $10,000 Group Term Life Insurance
- $200 Short Term Disability/Wk (for either 6 or 12 weeks)

PayDay Protector Plus
- $20,000 Group Term Life Insurance
- $300 Short Term Disability/Wk (for either 6 or 12 weeks)

Employee Choice
- Additional $25,000 Group Term Life Insurance
- Additional $100 Short Term Disability/Wk

Group Term Life Provisions (Policy Series GRTP 4/99):

  • Portability for Active Employees to Age 60
  • 12 Month Accelerated Death Benefit
  • Conversion Privilege
  • Insurance Reduces by 35% at Age 65, an Additional 15% at 70; Coverage Terminates the earlier of Retirement or at age 80.

Weekly Disability Provisions (Policy Series GDP100):

  • Flat dollar benefit - no offsets.
  • Benefits Begin on the 8th Day of Accident and/or Sickness.
  • 1st Day Hospitalization.
  • Non-Occupational Accident & Sickness.
  • Disability Means Being Prevented from Performing the Duties of Your Job.
  • Disability is Not Covered if it is: Due to War, Declared or Not, or Any Act of War; Intentionally Self-Inflicted Injuries; Active Participation in Riot; Attempt to Commit or Commission of a Felony Under Federal or State Law; Occupational Sickness or Injury (Except Partner or Sole Proprietor Not Covered by Workers' Comp).
  • No Benefits are Payable for Any Period of Disability While Incarc e rated in a Penal or Correctional Facility for a Period of 30 or More Consecutive Days.

Medical Stop Loss

Boston Mutual through its relationship with GreenWood International Services, LLC (GWI) distributes a Medical Stop Loss product offering.

As of April 1, 2008, the product will be underwritten on the policy forms of another insurance company available to us via our relationship with GWI. These companies will be "A-" rated or better by A.M. Best and approved by Boston Mutual. GWI will continue to handle all underwriting, policy and premium administration and claims adjudication so there will be no disruption to the excellent level of service that has been provided to Boston Mutual's Medical Stop Loss clients over the years. Boston Mutual's Group Sales Professionals will continue to develop and manage relationships with our valued clients.

Specific Stop Loss Features & Options:
Specific Stop Loss Coverage provides protection against catastrophic claims incurred above the specific deductibles.

  • Available Stand-Alone or In Conjunction with Aggregate
  • Flexible Deductibles starting at $20,000
  • Lifetime Maximums up to $5,000,000
  • Advanced Specific Funding
  • Aggregating Specific Deductibles
  • On-Line Work-Life Solutions - provided by Health Management Systems of America this resource offers direct web access to life balance issues such as health and wellness, behavioral heath, child and elderly care, financial calculators, legal consults, articles and video presentations.

Aggregated Stop Loss Features & Options:
Aggregate Stop Loss Coverage provides protection when total claims for a plan exceed the expected claims plus corridor during the policy period.

  • Standard Attachment at 125%
  • Maximums up to $1,000,000
  • Monthly Aggregate Accommodation option
  • Available coverage for Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision
  • Terminal Funding
