Types of Products
In case you’re not familiar with the various types of insurance products, here’s a summary to help get you started. Your agent can explain these in greater detail when you meet.
Insurance Products
Whole life
Is a life insurance policy that remains in force for the insured's “whole life” and requires premiums to be paid every year into the policy.
Term
Term insurance is a policy in which an insured pays a premium on a monthly or annual basis and your family is protected for that "term".
Annuities
An annuity is a savings tool designed to provide payments to the insured at specified intervals, usually after retirement.
Universal Life
A life insurance policy which offers the low-cost protection of term life insurance as well as a savings element (like whole life insurance) which is invested to provide cash-value buildup.
Long Term Care
Long-term care insurance is a policy designed to cover some of your expenses if you have a chronic but not life-threatening illness, long-term disability, or you are unable to live independently.
Disability Income
A disability policy which pays the policyholder cash in the event that they become incapable of working.
